Bandstand afternoons series kicks off on Sunday, May 26

As the town festival draws to a close, Decin’s popular Sunday afternoon concert series kicks off at the bandstand on the riverbank beneath the castle. Now in its fourth year, it will entertain visitors every weekend until September.

The program unfolds from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Who can visitors look forward to on the 26th of May?

This first bandstand afternoon is made up exclusively of international talent that music lovers in Bohemia don’t often have an opportunity to see.

3:00 pm: Generation Impasse (Hungary)—This rock ’n’ roll trio’s Hungarian beat will take you back to the days of the legendary rock band Omega.

4:00 pm: The Howling Tides (UK)—This will be the first time ever that this rock foursome (2 guitars, bass, drums) will appear in Bohemia. Plenty of classic British raw energy to spare. A must-see if you want to rock out.

5:00 pm: Gonsofus (Russia, Hungary)—This international music project from Russian Sasha Mamaev and Hungarian Gabor Tokar promises a lively concert experience, with the two musicians commanding a whole arsenal of musical instruments, using live looping to create the big sound of a whole ensemble. Over the past five years, the duo has played more than 400 shows in 19 countries.
