Ultralabak 2019 set for September 14

This ultra long-distance run for individuals or pairs offers 52 km and 25 km races with a 1,750 m climb.

The course, set in the heart of the Elbe sandstones, is no small challenge, but the reward — fantastic views from mountain tops like Decinsky Sneznik and Grosse Zschirnstein — is worth the effort!

Come out to explore the bizarre sandstone rock formations and the green valleys edged with towering cliffs. Conquer the highest flat-topped table mountains in the Czech Republic and Germany. The race starts at Bohemia’s lowest-lying town (only 130 meters above sea level).

The course takes off with a steep run of 580 meters up Sneznik — retracing the annual Run on Sneznik, a hard-core local race that takes place every December. Then it delves into two national parks, Bohemian Switzerland and Saxon Switzerland.

Participants can release some of their accumulated adrenalin, and enjoy some good music and a cold beer, at the race after-party at Kemp Decin campground.
