Pravcicka brana arch

One of Bohemian Switzerland’s most stunning natural formations is undeniably Pravcicka Brana. This natural sandstone arch, a symbol of the region, is a truly impressive natural formation that no visitor to Decin should miss seeing. Its great size is even more astounding up close. The arch spans 26.5 meters at a height of 16 meters and is 7 to 8 meters wide. At its narrowest, the bridge is only 3 meters across. The upper surface is 21 meters up.

Climb one of the neighboring rock formations for a great view of the arch.

At the very foot of the arch is a restaurant built in 1881 by Edmund Clary-Aldringen, then lord of the estate, who used it to host special guests. Today it offers food and drink to hikers and day trippers. Note that admission to the restaurant area is paid.

Note: Due to safety restrictions following the massive 2022 forest fire, visitors can get to this natural wonder by taking the red trail from Hrensko. The trail from Mezni Louka remains closed until further notice.

Take the bus to Tri prameny (bus line 434, 438, or 441). Buses run on weekends in May, June, September and October; buses run daily in July and August, roughly every half hour.
