Christmas 2024

The first weekend of Advent is upon us, see what you can look forward to. The Christmas programme is prepared for you by the Municipal Centre of Culture and Tourism.

Christmas Alley in Cross Street 29.11. - 31.12.

This year's Advent will begin on Friday 29 November, when the Christmas Alley in Křížová Street will open. From Saturday 30 November onwards, you can look forward to a rich programme of music every evening. Children are already looking forward to Infernal Crossword with DDM 5.12., a day later will be ready Vchristmas workshops with Slunečnice, as well as a week later - 12. 12. A really nice show will be A live nativity scene with angels on stilts. You can look forward to it on Friday 13 December. Traditionally, there will be singing with the Warriors from BK Armex Děčín, 17. 12. and other musical programme including concerts in the church. Of course, there will be stalls with mulled wine, Christmas goodies and gifts, as well as rich decorations that will contribute to a true Christmas atmosphere.

Christmas food festival 30.11.

Christmas Food Festival will take place on Saturday, November 30on Masaryk Square. There will also be great food and a musical programme, such as the local Rose Hill Band, Pavel Houfek and his choir or singer Martin Pošta with his programme Recital Horáček & Hapka.

Christmas tree lighting 1. 12.

A day later, the Christmas Tree Lighting will take place, also on Masaryk Square, under which a Christmas market with a programme will take place. The DDM, Gymnasium Děčín, Bára Basiková and the Big Band of the Teplice Conservatory will perform. The highlight of the evening will be the Kvelb Theatre with angels on stilts who will light the Christmas tree.

Christmas Market on Hus Square 14. 12.

The next bigger event will be the Christmas market on Hus Square on 14 December, where pupils from the ZUŠ Děčín, the band Kůzle, the SaH choir, the Děčín choir and Pavel Houfek will perform. There will also be refreshment stalls and a musical programme on Hus Square throughout Advent, including the regular Thursday Singing with a Brew.

This year you can also look forward to a rich light decoration in the city, including Christmas photo points.
