Take a ride through the rock towns

The roads will lead you through the valley of the Křinice river and through picturesque rock towns. The route offers fascinating views of the Elbe Sandstone region from the Falkenstein or Kleine Bastei rock lookouts. The starting point of this route is the village of Mezní Louka. From here you will follow the green Hluboký dol (Deep Dole) trail, which will lead you to the border at the former Rear Jetřichovice. Cross the border and follow the blue trail through the valley of the Křinice river to the Altes Zeughaus restaurant. Continue along the cycle path through the rock town of Kleiner Zschand to the Lichtenhainer Wasserfall. You will continue along this cycle path and cross Falkenstein to the Elbe. Along the Elbe Trail you will return to Hřensko and from there back along cycle route 21 to Mezní Louka.

Lichtenhainer Wasserfall - a five-metre-high waterfall gushing between massive sandstones.

Practical

Turning to Kleine Bastei - before the village of Schmilka, follow the green hiking trail for about 1 km. Lock your bike at the bottom of the village, the trail to the viewpoint leads through difficult terrain. If you don't have enough strength to complete the round trip, you have several alternative transport options.
