If you're not so keen on boating, you can get to Dresden by train. You can get to the Saxon capital with a Labe/Elbe ticket (valid only for passenger trains and fast trains, not for international EC, IC and EN trains). This ticket allows you to travel for one day on any public transport in the Usti region, parts of Saxony, Dresden and the surrounding area of Meissen, including the city itself. The ticket is valid on all cross-border bus and regional train connections and also for the ferry from Hřensko to Schöna station, or for extraordinary boat trips from Ústí nad Labem via Hřensko to Bad Schandau (boat line number 902). It is valid from purchase until 04.00 the following day.
