The tourist centre in the main historical building of the Děčín train station was established in 2017. By combining modern architectural elements with the old ones, it creates an interesting environment where you can also get a wealth of information about Děčín and its surroundings.

In the information centre you can find a lot of promotional materials and maps of Děčín and its surroundings, which are available free. In addition, visitors can buy regional products such as cosmetics Nobilis Tilia from Vlčí Hora, coffee from the roastery Caffe 08, tea and spirits Grešík, chocolate Jordán and other souvenirs with the brand Czech Switzerland. You can also buy promotional materials of the town such as calendars, pexes, T-shirts, cycling jerseys, magnets and postcards with the theme of Děčín. You can also buy tickets for cultural events in Děčín at the information centre.

There is also a board with bus timetables and a smart bench where you can recharge your phones or laptops. The environment is also ideal if you're waiting for a train and don't want to stand outside.

Although the information centre has an interesting architectural space, it is quite remote and not everyone can find it immediately. The first entrance to the information centre is from the first train platform, the second one is located next to the station restaurant. There is also a luggage room next to the info centre. If you want to put your bike down when you arrive in Děčín and enjoy the city on your own, you can leave your bike in the bike boxes, which are a few metres from the main station building (towards the Czech Post Office on Podmokelská Street).

The information centres in the town library and at the main railway station have fulfilled the requirements for the provision of tourist information centres in the Czech Republic and have thus become certified information centres.
