Děčín is getting ready for Advent: Sauna, cross-country skiing, and a traditional Christmas
This year's Advent program in the city will kick off on Saturday, November 28, with the opening of the Christmas Alley on Křížová Street and traditional events on Masaryk Square.
The Christmas spirit in Děčín will really kick off on the first weekend of Advent, when the Christmas Food Festival will take place on Masaryk Square and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 29. Visitors can look forward to a musical program, food and Christmas gift stalls, and popular accompanying activities.
The Christmas Market on Křížová Street will remain open until the end of the year and, in addition to the traditional program, will offer several new attractions. You can look forward to a Christmas sauna, an après-ski party, and the Křížovková 50 cross-country ski race. There will also be concerts in the church and activities for children.
The Advent atmosphere will also be enhanced by the Christmas market on Hus Square on December 12 and the popular Christmas Trail, which this year will feature new routes, challenges, and rewards. The city will be decorated with three Christmas trees and new light displays with photo spots.
