Christmas time in Děčín will start on 28 November, when the popular Christmas Alley in Křížová Street will open. It will once again offer not only stalls with Christmas goodies and gifts, but also rich decorations and a daily music programme from 6 pm throughout Advent. On the first weekend of Advent, the festive atmosphere will be transferred to Masaryk Square, where a varied programme awaits visitors.

On Saturday 29th November you can look forward to the traditional Christmas food festivalwhich will offer the smell of sweets, mulled wine and specialties not only from our region. The first Sunday of Advent on 30 November will bring Christmas markets, which will offer a wide range of products and a cultural programme. Local choirs and ensembles will perform on stage on both days - for example, children from the Kamenická Primary School, the Děčín Choir, dance performances from the DDM, the Rose Hill Band and the band Myš&Maš. The festive atmosphere will also be taken care of by "A Frank Sinatra Christmas" by Timbre music, and the headliner of the night will be the singer Tereza Maškováwhich will accompany the lighting of the Christmas tree on Sunday.

During the first weekend of Advent, children can take part in Christmas workshops where they can bake and decorate a gingerbread house, paint their own Christmas flask or try glass blowing in the glass workshop. There will be a Christmas train running around the square and you can also meet fairy tale characters - a gingerbread man, a snowman or even the Grinch himself.

In addition to the stalls, visitors can also enjoy a nativity scene, a Christmas story and live donkeys in the Christmas Alley on the first festive weekend. The whole of Děčín will be enveloped in light decorations and this year there will also be new light photopoints for all lovers of holiday photos. Also new will be Christmas trailwhich will lead through the city and offer fun challenges and stops. Everyone who completes the trail and completes all the tasks will receive a small reward at the end.

The Advent season gives us the opportunity to stop, meet family, friends and neighbours and enjoy moments of peace and joy. I believe that this year's Christmas programme will offer all visitors a lot of experiences, whether in the city centre, in Christmas Alley or at the joint tree lighting. I cordially invite you all to come and enjoy the magical atmosphere, listen to the Christmas concerts, taste some good food and enjoy moments of well-being with your loved ones.
