Tyrš's Děčín is a traditional cultural and sporting event held in the city of Děčín in honor of its notable native son, Miroslav Tyrš, co-founder of the Sokol physical education organization.
194 years since the birth of one of Sokol’s founders, Dr. Miroslav Tyrš, and 163 years since the founding of Sokol — these two significant anniversaries will be celebrated in mid-September, from Friday through Sunday, September 18–20, 2026, in Děčín.

Cruise Through the Elbe Canyon

A two-hour cruise through the Elbe Canyon to Hřensko and back
Set out on a boat trip to the gateway to Bohemian Switzerland and let yourself be enchanted from the deck of the boat by the Elbe Canyon, where the river has carved out the most impressive sandstone canyon in Europe.
The boat sails through the most scenic part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area, a national nature reserve that runs along the rocky valley.
During the cruise, you’ll pass beneath the oldest Belvedere lookout point, which is rightly considered one of the most beautiful, boasting a terraced rock platform overlooking the Elbe River valley. And on the opposite cliff, you’ll discover the German table mountains Zirkelstein and Kaiserkrone. Most of the rock formations have their own names. Among them are the Elbe Maiden, St. Adalbert, as well as the Target, the Turtle, the Monk, and many others.
