The main venue for this year’s celebrations will be Děčín Castle and the area surrounding it. You can look forward to a program that showcases movement in all its various forms. You can simply watch, get involved, or actively participate.

9:00 a.m. - Sokol Raptor Race - North Bohemian Sokol District – Novákova

• Tyršův Děčín kicks off on Friday at 9 a.m. with the Raptor obstacle course for schools, where teams from registered schools will compete and test their skills on a course starting from Smetanovo nábřeží. The obstacles will require participants to use their body weight, the natural environment, and their strength.

• The race will be run in laps (one lap is approximately 2.5 km / 10+ obstacles).

 12:00 p.m. - Memorial Ceremony - North Bohemian Sokol District – Novákova

• A memorial service in honor of Dr. Miroslav Tyrš, held at his statue on Smetana Embankment

 1:00 p.m. – Ceremonial Parade – North Bohemian Sokol District – Novákova

• After the memorial ceremony concludes, a procession will wind its way through the city, ending this year in the South Gardens of Děčín Castle

 2:00 p.m. – Tyrš Trail – M. Tyrš Elementary School

• Starting at 2:00 p.m. on Smetana Embankment near the hang glider, Tyrš Trail, under the direction of M. Tyrš Elementary School, which will test physical fitness.

 7:00 p.m. - 5. Gala Ball - North Bohemian Sokol District – Novákova

• Venue: Děčín Castle

• The band U-Style will be performing, and you can look forward to dance performances, acrobatic displays of strength, and a midnight surprise.

10:00 a.m. - Boat tour through the Elbe Canyon

• A two-hour cruise through the Elbe Canyon to Hřensko and back

• Set out on a boat cruise to the gates of Bohemian Switzerland and let yourself be enchanted from the deck of the boat by the Elbe Canyon, where the river has carved out the most majestic sandstone canyon in Europe.

•  The boat sails through the most scenic part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains Protected Landscape Area, a national nature reserve that runs along the rocky valley.

• During the cruise, you’ll sail beneath the oldest Belvedere lookout point, which is rightly considered one of the most beautiful, boasting a stepped rock terrace overlooking the Elbe River valley. And on the opposite cliff, you’ll discover the German table mountains Zirkelstein and Kaiserkrone. Most of the rock formations have their own names. Among them are the Elbe Maiden, St. Adalbert, as well as the Target, the Turtle, the Monk, and many others.
