#Christmas Alley in Křížovka

Christmas time in Děčín will start on 28 November, when the popular Christmas Alley in Křížová Street will open. It will once again offer not only stalls with Christmas goodies and gifts, but also rich decorations and a daily music programme from 6 pm throughout Advent. You can also look forward to St. Nicholas' Day with DDM Děčín, the Living Nativity Scene, Christmas markets for schools and much more.

#Christmas Food Festival

On Saturday 29th November you can look forward to the traditional Christmas food festivalwhich will offer the smell of sweets, mulled wine and specialties not only from our region. There will be a musical programme on the stage and workshops for children throughout the day. You can also look forward to competition for the best potato salad.

What are the conditions of the competition?

Bring in a bowl of your potato salad between 10am and 2pm and let a panel of judges made up of city representatives and food experts decide which salad is the best (on stage at 3pm). The best salad will then receive a prize from the jury.

#Christmas tree lighting

The first Sunday of Advent on 30 November will bring a Christmas market with a wide range of products and a cultural programme. Not only local groups and bands will again perform on stage, but the main star of the evening will be the singer Tereza Mašková.

During the first weekend of Advent, children can take part in Christmas workshops where they can bake and decorate a gingerbread house, paint their own Christmas flask or try glass blowing in the glass workshop. There will be a Christmas train running around the square and you can also meet fairy tale characters - a gingerbread man, a snowman or even the Grinch himself.

#Christmas at Husovce

The traditional Christmas market on Hus Square will not be missing this year either. Stalls with refreshments and gifts will be accompanied by a musical programme on the stage.

#Christmas trail through Decin

New this year is the Christmas Trail through Děčín, which was created as a public initiative with the support of the City Centre for Culture and Tourism. The trail will take you through Christmas stops with tasks, and at the end of the trail there will be a small reward. An app will guide you through the trail (info on the app is forthcoming).

Discover Děčín in a magical Christmas atmosphere. The new Christmas Trail will take you through the city from the main station to the library - even the little ones can easily follow it.

On the route you will meet local partners marked with a gingerbread star. Each of them has prepared a small surprise, a gift or a nice Christmas greeting for the visitors.
