Edmundova a Divoká soutěska

Edmundova a Divoká soutěska

The Hřensko Gorges offer a romantic boat ride on the Kamenice River. Edmund’s Gorge and the Wild Gorge are among the biggest attractions of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The experience of cruising through the gorges will stay with you for a lifetime. Every season here has its own charm. With the diversity of the gorges, there’s always something new to admire, even on your umpteenth visit, and the “waterfall on a string” is sure to leave a lasting impression.

How do you get to the gorge?

The Trail to Divoká Gorge (From Mezná or Janov)

  • From Mezná along the green trail: The fastest route that takes you down the hill straight to the Kamenice River. Just hop on bus No. 434, 438, or 411 and get off at the final stop in Mezní. From Mezní Bridge, you can walk to the pier.

  • From Mezní Louka, for those who aren't in a hurry: Get off one stop early at Mezní Louka. A walk along the famous tree-lined avenue toward Mezní is a balm for the soul.

  • From Janov (Hájenek) for a longer trip: Want to make your hike a little longer? Take the green trail from Janov (Hájenek). It’s part of the Hřebenovka trail and offers yet another perspective on the landscape.

  • The Trail to Edmund's Gorge (Exclusively from Hřensko)

    • On foot from Hřensko along the yellow trail: You can get to the newly opened Edmund Gorge only from the village of Hřensko. Park in the central parking lot in the village (e.g., U vodopádu) or take the bus to Hřensko. From there, follow the yellow hiking trail upstream along the Kamenice River.

    • A leisurely walk through the canyon: The walk through the rocky valley to the entrance gate takes about 20 minutes. You can purchase a ticket for the cruise right at the gate; it is a guided round-trip tour.
