Mardi Gras at the Zoo Děčín

The traditional Mardi Gras celebration will take place at the Děčín Zoo and will culminate in a Mardi Gras parade of masks through the town. A rich programme full of competitions, music, dance, traditions and good food awaits you.

Program in Zoo Děčín:

• Competition for the tastiest carnival doughnut (for everyone)

• Fastest doughnut eater contest (for kids)

• The competition for the fastest grits eater (for adults)

• Best mask competition (for children)

• Cheerful music

• Reminder of carnival traditions

• Refreshments - killer delicacies

• New: a pig that flies off the roof of the headmaster's office with a belly full of goodies

• Dance performance of ZUŠ Žandov

• The programme will be provided by the Max Fisch Panopticon and the Wagabundus collective

Carnival parade of masks through the town (15.00-17.00):

Enjoy 2.3 km of fun in the carnival parade. At each stop you will find a programme, refreshments, merriment, music and dancing.

Parade route:

Start: Zoo Děčín

1. stop: the intersection of Žižkova and Teplická streets near the DDM - request for permission to enter the city

1. stop: park near the hostel

2. information Centre and the Děčín Municipal Library

Goal: Cross Street
