New bike lifts are now transporting cyclists to the Ore Mountains and Sněžník

Cyclists heading from the Ústí and Děčín regions to the surrounding hills can take advantage of brand-new bike racks on DÚK bus routes 433, 451, and 471 this year.

The Ústí Region has expanded the DÚK integrated transport system with new bike racks, which have begun operating on select bus routes heading toward the Ore Mountains, the Bohemian Central Mountains, and Děčínský Sněžník. The goal is to make it easier and more enjoyable for cyclists to travel to popular recreational areas without having to transport their bikes inside the bus.

The new bike racks can hold up to 16 bicycles, which are placed in separate padded compartments, ensuring greater protection during transit. These bike racks are in use on routes DÚK 433, 451, and 471, for example.

The project aims to promote cycling tourism and encourage both residents and visitors to the region to use public transportation in combination with bicycles. If the initiative proves successful, the region plans to expand it to other routes.
