Tisá

Tisá

Climbing is allowed here all year round and on the entire territory of the natural monument, except for paths with a high degree of erosive damage and, of course, in wet weather. Lists of "forbidden" routes should be available at the ticket offices at the entrances to the cliffs. When climbing, the use of magnesium or other chemical agents is prohibited, as is damage to the surface of the rocks (e.g. when climbing "to fish"), and the use of belay devices that damage the rock is prohibited. The principles of the Rules of Climbing in Sandstone Areas in Bohemia apply here.

The local rocks are mainly hard sandstone and are therefore suitable for climbing of all kinds. The Great Walls above Tisá have a total of 75 rocks. In the Great Walls, the most popular climbing objectives include the Beheaded Major, whose base is narrower than the summit, the Winkler Towers with twenty-three routes, the Fortress, the Frog Crown, the southern Hercules Column, the Pharaoh's Wall and the East Tower. In the Small Walls, the Postal Wall, the Lone Tower or the southwestern Bird Tower are very popular. There are other rock complexes in the vicinity of Tisá: Bürschlicke Walls (33 rocks), Ridge Walls (30 rocks), English Park (10 rocks), Walls under the Road (45 rocks), Larch (45 rocks) and Towers behind the Road (7 rocks).
