The weekend of April 27–28 will be devoted to ships and shipping. Visitors will learn something about the history of river navigation on the Elbe and can look forward to a full program of activities and fun. The weekend is presented by the Statutory City of Decin in cooperation with the Decin Regional Museum as a celebration of Decin’s historical status as a major river port.

On Saturday, visitors can look forward to guided tours of the waterways exhibit at the Regional Museum, the official launch, sales of publications dedicated to the waterways, and a jazzband concert. There will be fun and games for children all day from 10 am until 5 pm.

Sunday brings the opportunity for visitors to experience a panoramic cruise on the riverboat Bohemia. Cost of tickets is 50 CZK (available at www.vstupenkadecin.cz). Cruises start at 9:00 am, 10:30 am, 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm, and 3:00 pm. A stand near the information center at the library will serve refreshments and from 3-5 pm there will be a concert by local dixieland band Old Boys.
