TRAVEL ALERT! If at all possible, please avoid Hrensko at this time. Due to an active forest fire, Hrensko is full of smoke. Travelers who had planned to spend the day here should find an alternative activity in one of the other beautiful locations nearby. The staff in our information centers will be happy to help.
Please AVOID THE AREA AROUND HRENSKO. As of this writing (25 July 2022, 4pm) there are 49 Czech and German firefighting units working to contain a major forest fire. Bus lines terminate in Hrensko. Tourists and hikers are being evacuated.
The latest information is posted online by the national park service and the integrated emergency services .

The forest fire above Hrensko is still raging. A total of 80 firefighting units from across Europe are now engaged in battling the blaze.
Much of Bohemian Switzerland National Park remains CLOSED to visitors.
Areas that still accept visitors at this time include Jetrichovice, Kyjov, and Doubice.
The Usti Region has prohibited smoking in forests and within 50 meters of all forests until further notice. Campfires are also prohibited in all forests in the Usti Region.

The Elbe River between Dolni Zleb and Hrensko is closed to water traffic of all kinds until further notice.
